We are seeking a trainee Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager to support the daily operations of our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. Full training will be given and some vocational qualifications available

Duties

Assist in overseeing the smooth running of restaurant and bar operations during shifts
Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including serving and bar personnel
Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and customer enquiries efficiently
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and oversee food production processes
Uphold food safety standards across all of the service areas
Support staff training programmes to develop team skills in hospitality, food safety, and service excellence
Assist in organising staff schedules to optimise coverage during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant, bar, and all other areas

Experience

Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Familiarity with culinary practices, food safety regulations, and food production processes
Previous experience in restaurant bar or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
Knowledge of hospitality standards related to customer service, food safety, and operational efficiency
