We are looking for an experienced cafe assistant to join our team here at Melin Tregwynt, an opportunity to become part of some thing special. Main duties and responsibilities:

Working within the Mill cafe to meet customers’ needs and create a positive experience for customers visiting Melin Tregwynt

General day to day operation of café
Provide excellent customer service & create a warm & friendly atmosphere for customers
Maintaining & restocking items as required, checking expiry dates on food items
Prepare and serve hot drinks using espresso machine
Maintain & monitor daily records
Cash handling , including credit cards / till operations , daily reconciliation
Effective handling of telephone enquiries for café
Deal with bookings and booking system
Promoting all aspects of Melin Tregwynt business
Daily cleaning of cafe & public areas
Regular scheduled cleaning of all catering equipment including coffee machine , all fridges , freezers & cooking equipment
Maintain highest standards of cleanliness & hygiene & follow food hygiene regulations in Cafe
Food preparation
Assist in other areas of the business as required
Any other reasonable request made.
