Overview
We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all weddings, events, and daily hospitality operations at Raglan Golf Club. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality. This role requires leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining our high standards, managing staff, and ensuring a seamless experience for our members, visitors, and guests.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all food and beverage operations to ensure efficient service delivery
Plan, coordinate, and deliver weddings, private functions, and community events
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met
Manage the head chef, bar manager, and front of house team, providing guidance and support to foster a motivated work environment
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all departments
Organise staff rotas, training programmes, and performance evaluations to optimise team productivity
Monitor stock levels to maintain appropriate inventory levels
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the procurement of high-quality ingredients and supplies
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy
Assist in menu planning, including development of new dishes and beverage offerings
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas

Skills

Proven experience in supervising or managing food service teams within a restaurant or hotel setting
Demonstrated experience delivering weddings or large-scale functions
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development
Sound understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, suppliers, and guests
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of hospitality operations including serving, barista skills, and general restaurant management
Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is highly desirable
