Overview

We are looking to recruit a cook to join our care home. Experience in this area is essential. Level 3 in food hygiene desirable. Duties to include:

Cook main meals to cater for the different needs of our residents.
Order stock and complete stock checks
Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy to high standards
Complete all training given
Prepare tea time meals
Baking

As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious dishes that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control and ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with care staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service on time for residents.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Monitor food presentation and quality before serving to ensure consistency and excellence.

Hourly wage depends on experience.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
