Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented bakery assistant and packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing cakes, doughnuts, buns etc ready for delivery to our two retail outlets, experience with using a piping bag is desirable. Then preparing products for shipment packing rolls using a machine, ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety standards are maintained. Cleaning experience in a commercial setting will be a bonus to adhere to food hygiene rules.

Hours

Saturday 3am - 8am

Responsibilities

Delicate piping work, handling of food and being in charge of presentation of certain baked good ready for sale.
Efficiently select and pack items according to order specifications using appropriate materials handling techniques
Maintain organisation of stock in designated storage areas, ensuring easy access and safety compliance
Conduct quality control checks on packed items to ensure accuracy and undamaged products before dispatching
Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet daily targets

Skills

Proven experience in materials handling, picking & packing within a warehouse environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control tasks
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long durations and move around the warehouse space effectively
Prior experience in warehouse management systems, stock control, or related roles is advantageous
