Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent service to our guests, ensuring a smooth operation of food and beverage services across our establishment. Previous restaurant or barista experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A strong commitment to food safety standards and customer satisfaction is essential for success in this role.

Duties

Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
Set up dining areas, including tables, chairs, and condiments, prior to service
Ensure all serving areas are clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout shifts
Take orders accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety compliance at all times
Support catering events by preparing and serving food and drinks as needed
Handle customer enquiries politely and resolve any issues promptly
Assist with cleaning duties at the end of shifts to ensure a tidy environment for the next service

Skills

Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality environments is desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
Flexibility to adapt to different roles within the food service environment
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
