We’re now looking ahead to our 2026 season and are on the lookout for friendly, hard-working hospitality professionals to join our team. Whether you're applying solo or as a pair of experienced colleagues (e.g. one front of house, one kitchen), we’d love to hear from you!

Available Roles:

Front of House Team Member

Be the face of The Griffin – welcoming guests, taking orders, and delivering great service with a smile (and a flair for reading the daily fish specials!).

Chef / Kitchen Assistant

Help prepare and serve our popular menu, especially our seafood dishes. This role could suit a trained chef, experienced cook, or kitchen assistant comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Front of House:

Greet and seat guests with confidence and warmth
Take food & drink orders clearly and efficiently
Present and explain the daily fish specials
Run food & drinks to tables, clear and reset
Create a welcoming, relaxed guest experience

Kitchen:

Support food prep and cooking during busy services
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards
Work as part of a small, efficient kitchen team
Assist with stock control, cleaning, and daily kitchen tasks

About You

Enthusiastic, reliable, and professional
Confident in customer-facing roles
Strong team players who work well under pressure
Previous hospitality or kitchen experience preferred
Looking for a seasonal live-in opportunity (double accommodation provided – ideal for a team of two) with opportunity going into a full-time position.

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 8-11 months

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
