Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all health and safety standards are maintained. The successful applicant will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, helping to enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, in accordance with company standards
Assist customers with menu selections and provide exceptional customer service
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
Uphold health and safety standards, including proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices

Experience

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Experience in serving customers in a busy environment is desirable
Familiarity with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals is beneficial
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately are required
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71-£13.45 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
