Location: Pwllheli, North Wales
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:45am–4:15pm, Friday 7:45am–3:30pm
Salary: £28,000 – £40,000 per year, plus benefits

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join our team and support continued business growth. Working alongside the Technical and General Managers, this role provides the chance to make a real impact on maintaining and improving standards across food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor production processes and food safety controls, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal standards including BRC.
Conduct testing, record accurate results, and maintain thorough documentation.
Identify and isolate products or materials outside specification.
Calibrate equipment such as metal detectors, pH meters, thermometers, and balances.
Assist in maintaining HACCP plans and the Quality Management System.
Carry out internal audits on hygiene, housekeeping, stock rotation, and food safety.
Participate in sensory evaluations and contribute to product development.
Support and train team members where needed.
Work both independently and collaboratively to uphold high quality standards.

About You

Experience in a QA or technical role within food manufacturing.
Background in Food Technology or a related field.
Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations.
Have previously worked on a BRC accredited site - essential.
Qualifications such as Food Safety Level 2 and Internal Auditing are desirable.
Excellent attention to detail with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
A clear communicator who can confidently follow and enforce procedures.
Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working under pressure.
