Responsible to the Food & Beverage Manager, and through him to the Club Manager.

To assist with the provision of efficient and courteous, catering services to members and visitors. These responsibilities include:

1. The supervision of the kitchen in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager and, at such times:

Ensuring that proper standards of health and safety at work are maintained, and that the procedures for the safe operation of the Club’s equipment are followed, by such staff at all times.
The cleanliness of all food, preparation and storage areas, utensils, refrigerators, deep-freeze cabinets, cold rooms, cookers, and working surfaces.
Reporting any failures of the Club’s dining room and kitchen equipment to the Food & Beverage Manager or the Club Manager as appropriate.

2. Providing a friendly and welcoming presence for members, their guests and visitors.

3. Cooking meals as agreed with the Food & Beverage Manager.

4. Assisting the Food & Beverage Manager in his duties as he may require including any reasonable duties within the Clubhouse, including cleaning, waiting on, serving behind the bar & cashing up.

It is an express condition of employment that you are prepared, whenever necessary, to undertake alternative duties within our business. This flexibility is essential for operational efficiency as the type and volume of work is always subject to change.

Your normal hours of work will be variable. Your contracted annual hours of employment will be 2,080 hours in the year. The actual hours and days of work will be set by the F&B Manager weekly. The days on which you are required to work are Monday to Sunday. You will normally be expected to work between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm, although there may be occasions when it will be later.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team and will need to excel in all areas. They will also need to be passionate, reliable, hard working and motivated.
