Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the preparation and service of food and beverages with in a canteen on a busy construction site .

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills aswel as a polite approach attuide, a strong understanding of food safety, and experience in hospitality or related fields.

This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and guest service skills within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, presentation, and serving to ensure high standards of quality are kept at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and serving areas in compliance with food safety regulations
Provide excellent guest services by attending to customer needs courteously and professionally
Taking orders or providing information as required
Assist in meal preparation tasks under supervision, ensuring timely delivery of services during busy periods
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant/canteen environments is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Experience as a delivery driver is advantageous but not essential
Skills in cooking, meal preparation, and basic kitchen operations are preferred
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
Excellent organisational abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the catering industry

Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
