Main Tasks & Responsibilities

To Provide Production Management in Production Departments: -

· Ensure all customers orders are produced and supplied in full (Service Levels)

· Maintain product quality & adherence to product specification.

· Ensure site technical standards are met in line with TWSC policies and procedures.

· Monitor and manage daily Raw Material Stock levels.

· Ensure staffing levels are maintained in line with Factory Resource Plan.

· Ensure staff skill sets are maintained in line with resource plan and machinery training requirements.

· Ensure machinery and equipment is well maintained and in safe working order.

· Deputise at daily Production meetings in the absence of Senior Production Manager (SPM).

· Support and engage with forward planning of key events.

To Maintain high level of Health & Safety Standards through Safe and Compliant Production Operations.

· Ensure Production operations are carried out within H&S Policy

· Ensure all staff are fully trained and aware of H&S Policy

· Ensure completion of required documentation

To Maintain Food Safety and Technical Standard Policies.

· Ensure production operations are carried out in line with HACCP and Company policies.

· Ensure all staff are fully trained and aware of Food Safety Policy.

· Ensure that all machinery and equipment hygiene is monitored.

· Ensure completion of required documentation.

· Ensure that Production staff hygiene standards are maintained.

· Ensure all machinery & equipment hygiene is monitored.

To Manage and Oversea Production Planning both Daily and Weekly Operations

· Daily planning of production volume.

· Coaching and mentoring of Production staff to support development.

· Target 100% service level as a minimum to all customers (currently 98.5%).

Maintain and Improve Product Quality Standards.

· Ensure all products are produced in line with Product specifications & QAS sheets.

· Daily checking of all raw materials for use (via SPM)

· Highlight problem areas and resolve.

Support Business Improvement and Efficiencies.

· Identify opportunities to improve factory efficiency where practicable.

· Manage and monitor performance indicators (Kgs per man hour)

Criteria & Qualifications

Prior Experience

· A competent professional with proven experience of managing a Production team in a food manufacturing environment.

· Proven experience of driving improvements in site standards.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate staff and colleagues.

Competency & Skills

· Good working knowledge of Product Specifications & Company Technical Standards

· Strong organisational & Planning skills

· Strong Team Leadership skills

· Good internal Communication skills

· Good Knowledge of Excel & Word & Strong numerical ability

· Flexibility with regards to hours

Qualifications

· Food safety and hygiene qualification essential

· Health and safety qualification essential

· IOSH Managing Safely desirable.

· Team leadership / man management training course/qualification desirable
