Pub Manager Wanted

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and professional Pub Manager to oversee the daily operations and run a busy, food-driven pub in the heart of Fishguard town centre.

As Manager, you will lead on operations across the venue, working with a established team driving and coordinating all daily business operational standards to ensure consistent customer service excellence.

The role will require the following of company standards whilst delivering a seamless high quality, positive, friendly and engaging environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who lives and breathes great food, great drinks, and great hospitality. If you know how to balance a strong kitchen operation with a buzzing bar and warm front-of-house, this one’s for you.

The role

Oversee all aspects of a thriving gastro pub
⁠Work closely with the kitchen to deliver consistently excellent food
Lead, train, and inspire a quality-focused team
Maintain high standards across service, presentation, hygiene, and compliance
Drive covers, margins, reputation, and repeat business
Plan and promote entertainment, gigs and other events throughout the year

⁠Proven gastro pub or food-led hospitality management experience

Strong leadership and people management skills
Commercial awareness and attention to detail
A calm, professional approach — even when it’s full and flying
The ability to speak Welsh would be a bonus!

Job Type: Full-time all year round, start date 1st March

Salary/Hourly Rate: Excellent salary package available between £37,500-£40,000 plus a profit share bonus scheme between £4,000-£8,000

Required Experience In Management: 2 years

Preferred Licenses: Driving license, personal license & hygiene certificate
